You want to change the world? So change it...And we’ll help! The Illinois People’s Assembly (IPA) seeks to invert the current system of community, religious and governmental leaders being at the top of the public policy ladder—controlling both the issues being discussed and the solutions proffered—and instead works to place these leaders on tap to our members. Membership in the Illinois People’s Assembly automatically brings to bear a vast network of community organizations for your group, as well as unparalleled access to the leaders of our state. We work closely with our members to identify their needs, and then formulate a plan of action on how best to proceed in meeting them. Our goal is to give our members the skills and knowledge necessary to allow for a self-sustained effort in advancing their causes. Mission Statement:The Illinois People’s Assembly (IPA) seeks to empower the underprivileged and underserved citizens of Illinois through a unique combination of grassroots organizing capabilities coupled with access to our unparalleled network of community, church and governmental institutions and leaders. The IPA and its members have at their heart the desire to give our states most vulnerable citizens access to the tools and knowledge needed to help themselves be the agents of their own success. We work to achieve this goal in a variety of ways, most notably by providing our members with access to both our many dedicated professional organizers and our network of community, church and governmental leaders, as well as by hosting training sessions, ranging from helping your organization develop a budget to identifying the most effective way to publicize your group’s issues and events.
