Tree Board Academy
Phase One: Creating a successful community forestry program Purpose & Need: Within the southern Illinois region, there are 20 Tree City USA communities. As part of the requirement to become a Tree City USA community, each community must have a municipal tree authority. This workshop will allow municipal tree authorities and local tree advocates to receive professional training on planning, fund-raising, marketing, and implementing community forestry projects and programs, as well as an opportunity to network with their southern Illinois peers.
