BIO: Melissa comes to us from the lovely Ottawa, IL on the Fox and Illinois Rivers. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a B.S. in Psychology in and once again with a M.S. degree in Community Counseling. Melissa has been working in the mental health and social service fields since 2002. While at EIU, Melissa was active in several grassroots organizations including Fair Trade Coalition, Haiti Connection and Earth Club. Melissa advocates for mentoring programs and is active in Big Brothers Big Sisters. She enjoys traveling, reading and the great outdoors. PROJECTS:
Here at ICCS she
counsels at risk youth and families through the DFI and CCBYS programs
in addition to Life Skills groups with the Teen REACH crew.
